The rationale
The Elsevier Editors’ Update webinar program is an interactive forum through which Elsevier connects and communicates with editors and board members across science, technology and health journals. This informative program of online seminars hosts in-depth discussions on a number of hot topics and gives you, the editor, an opportunity to discuss these topics in a live, real-time setting.
Held on a regular basis and led by a specially selected panel, the webinars tackle a range of topics related to your editorial work, recently we have discussed issues related to peer review and journal performance. Many other topics will be covered in the near future.
If you would like to be added to the mailing list please contact your publisher. If you have any ideas for topics we should be discussing then please contact us.
The process
Prior to each event, editors receive an email inviting them to register. During registration you can pre-submit your thoughts or questions relating to the topic. We endeavor to answer these either during the live webinar, or respond to you in the weeks following the event. A question and feedback function is also available for you to use during the live webinar. Each webinar is also available to view after the event from our archive or download in MP3 format.
